i would get the Wii because its cheaper and has more games ur son would love, it also makes u move if u get really in to the game instead of jst pressing buttons(4 example Super Smash Bros. Brawl coming out March 9th),but its really hard 2 find because it in low supply……. the PS3 is too expensive but its easier to find…..i would go 4 the Wii because i hav one and i thinks it really fun

I own a PS3. They are FAULOUS!!!!. They come with wireless controllers, the console itself is a supercomputer with 8 processors (HONEST!). There might olny be an odd 30 games on the market but they are coming out rapidly! They have online play plus you can download games (For free and some for a price (very small).). You can store all your music, videos and photos. The PS3 uses the highest quality disk called Blu-Ray and has an amazing quality HDMI connection.

go for the wii, a 7 year old would fall in love with it! The ps3 is good but its more for those who wat SERIOUS gameplay, but i got the wii and i really enjoy it! it has way more features all together than the ps3 has. so yea

The Nintendo Wii is based really on Gameplay which will probably interest your son if hes younger. The PS3 is based all on graphics which would be great if your in to FPS (First Person Shooters) etc.
From what you gave me Nintendo Wii sounds like your best choice for now BUT they are really hard to get because of the high demand on them right now.

Both are good but the ps3 is the better console.

I believe it to be a more suitable console for your son simply because the PS3 isn’t really designed for kids. The wii, however, is accessible to people of all ages. Even non-gaming types can get some fun out of this console.

The main reason to buy a ps3 isn’t the games, it’s the fact that it’s among the cheapest blu-ray players on the market.

I’d go for the Wii myself. A 7 year old will love it! The Wii is made for all ages and little kids will love it especially! The Wii is way cheaper than the PS3 also. If you/your kid likes ******** graphics, then get the PS3. That’s about all it’s good for…oh yeah, and its got a $600 dvd player. Not that many games to choose from right at this time. The Wii is a lot of fun with the new way of playing video games and has a huge selection of games good for all ages!

If you go for PS3, you got Blu-Ray built in. PS3 plays CDs, DVDs, Blu-Ray movies, PS1 games, PS2 games, PS3 games.

Games for 7 year old kid - Rachet & Clank, Motorstorm, etc…

Wii is standard definition. Wii isn’t HD and doesn’t play DVDs.
But since its for a kid, basically all the rated E games work fine. Mario Galaxy, Wii Sports, etc…
