Wii Code, Wii Id, Wii Friend Code, Wii Wi-fi Code. What are Those and Where Do You Get Them?

Thursday, December 25th, 2008
Chris McGee asked:

Each Wii system has a 16 digit code, for the system itself. The wii console code is used to send messages to your friends.

Each game that uses the Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection generates a unique 12 digit friend code that can be exchanged with friends and be used to maintain individual friend lists in each game. It is kind of annoying to have to do each time you get a new game, but once your registered and you registered your friends, you’re in the clear.

So, don’t get confused.  The Wii console and Wii online games have different codes. The Wii codes you need to know are the Wii console code and the Wii friend code.  When you are asked for a Wii code, it is usually one of these two.

You use your Wii’s code when sending messages to friends via the message board under the Wii menu, and you use the individual code on each game for Wi-Fi playing. Accessing your friend code is different for each of your games.  Only some games are WiFi playable, so check the back of the box if you’re unsure.

How do you know what your friend code is for the wii?

I’ll walk you there with my wii.

First, go to the place with all the channels (Wii menu)

Second, on the lower right hand corner you will see an

envelope (wii message board) click on it.

Third, on your lower left hand corner, right next to calender, you will see an icon of a piece of paper with a black pen over it (create messages) click on it.

Fourth, click on the third choice to the right (Address book), and then click on it. Your friend code will be there. It will say

“This console’s Wii Number”

Your code looks like this: 1234 - 5678 - 9012 - 3456

Your Friend Code is for online for your friends. So if you just want a random person as your friend for Online only, give them ur FC. If you want to add friend codes, click register

(also in address book) and then type in your friend’s friend code.

Many games have additional features that are enabled between two registered friends. These may include customized matchmaking options, cooperative play, friend lists, text chat, and voice chat.

If a user needs to replace his or her DS system, then the old system’s Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection ID can be transferred wirelessly, to maintain the user’s original Friend codes on the new machine.

My Wii Downloads Review – Wii Downloads Centre Known

Jay Davis asked:

Looking for a site where you can download all needed stuff to turn your Wii into a home entertainment system? If yes, then allow us to help you.

Nowadays, looking for a site where you can download everything you need to turn your Wii into home entertainment system is easy, and yet we can say challenging. Easy merely because in just few clicks you’ll already see on the screen several possible sites that can provide you with things you will need while challenging because choosing which of the possible sites will work best for you will absolutely be mind-boggling.

At this moment, there are three sites that you will most likely encounter online – MyWiiDownloads.com, UnlimitedWiiDownloads.com and WiiMediaDownloads.com. All of these three sites can turn your Wii into a home entertainment system but they cater services distinctively, in their own way. Thus, it is important that aside from the site’s potential to turn your Wii into a home entertainment system you also consider the kind of service it caters.

Below we have a fair, honest review/ranking of the three sites aforementioned. Information about their service and even their features may really help you later in deciding which site to go for.

#1: My Wii Downloads

On top of our choices is My Wii Downloads centre. With My Wii Downloads you can easily download everything you need not too long without any problems. They offer the largest selection of games and movies for Wii. They also offer only top TV shows, music albums, and videos. If you also wish your downloaded video be played not only from your Wii but also from your computer, home theater or television, it’s not a problem too as with your membership with My Wii Downloads you get free media tools including Wii Video Converter and Wii Media Center Software, DVD Burning Software, MP3 Software, and CD Burning Software; tools that can surely make your video playable from any device or entertainment system.

In general, My Wii Downloads is the leader in Wii media downloads. They offer only the top and hottest stuff that will surely turn your Wii into a home entertainment system. Not to mention that they also give clear instructions and tutorials in the downloading process. Thus, with My Wii Downloads, you’ll be rest assured that you’ll get best value for your money.

#2: Unlimited Wii Downloads

Unlimited Wii Downloads extends almost the same kind of downloading experience and service like My Wii Downloads does. They let you download stuff in a short period of time. They also offer great, new wii games, movies, music, music videos, and TV shows. They even offer unlimited downloading option by which allows you to download with no limit.

However, Unlimited Wii Downloads is just quite close to being like My Wii Downloads. According to some who have tried downloading from the site, tutorials provided by the site although thorough and complete, are not quite easy to follow or intuitively displayed; unlike those of My Wii Downloads. Hence, Unlimited Wii Downloads is just second best.

#3: Wii Media Downloads

Wii Media Downloads is a good Wii downloading centre but it is surely the last centre you will ever want to visit. Wii Media Downloads has a great selection of Wii Games and other media and also offer good download speeds. Site’s user interface is also smooth and intuitive. However, tutorials provided by the site for games are not complete and could have been more in-depth. And also, support could have been better according to some of their previous members. Wii Media Downloads also seems to be careless with the information they provide. Their homepage says that they are compatible with Mac but the FAQ section says they are not. Thus, Wii Media Downloads still needs to undergo several improvements.
