So I want to get a Wii (and probably just Brawl right now) and an ipod nano this summer to take back to school in the fall. I have only one problem: the money I earn over the summer pretty much has to support me for the entire (school) year (though with my meal plan and all that covered by my loans, grants, etc., I can survive several months on just $10, but then I can’t go and do stuff with friends).
So, what would the best way to purchase these items be (preferably at a discount, but I need them to be reliable)? Would ebay be best or should I just go to the store and decide which one I want more?
Do those “free” deals (where you complete the offers) work, and are they cheaper (including any longterm costs) than going to get the wii and ipod?

It looks like those free things are a scam and could easily get out of hand if you don’t keep track of this.
I’m leaning towards the ipod, as I can use it between classes. I’m kind of afraid that a wii might be too detracting in a dorm full of college kids, but brawl would be nice to have.
I may have to decide near the end of the summer. I may just get my first credit card, charge it, and pay it of to help my credit.
Would that work?
